LEARN MORE ABOUT ME
Thank you for taking the time to visit my webpage to learn more about my experiences and passion for teaching. My name is Karli Mann, I am from Dickinson, ND, and I am majoring in Elementary Education and Catholic Studies at the University of Mary.
I grew up in a family of teachers. Both of my parents teach high school and my aunt teaches special education, so my interest in teaching started when I was young. My immediate family is small, and we all live close to one another so dinner at Grandma's house is something we get to share often with one another. Growing up in a small town and attending small schools showed me what it means to be part of a community. Moving to the University of Mary showed me how to live with others who are like me, but also how to reconcile our differences. The most extraordinary community I have been a part of was when I had to opportunity to study abroad in Rome, Italy in the spring of 2014. Living with the same 18 people for four months and spending all your time as well as traveling with them can be quite a challenge It was a huge blessing and I learned a lot about myself and the world. By the end of our time in Italy, we were a family and I barely knew some of their names when we first arrived in Rome.
Please feel free to browse my page and contact me for any additional information.
